November round-up

Ok, time for the round-up of my PPC marketing in November. Has been busy with most of my campaigns so no time to post anything in the past few weeks. Just for the information to new reader(s) , November is my first month putting Gauher Chaudhry’s Pay Per Click Formula into practice. Coincidentally, the course is also the main reason I’m going serious into PPC marketing. Time to see if all the techniques really work. What can I say? I would say that I’m most lucky to found this course from Benjamin. Although I knew most of the concept in the course beforehand, the real gems are some of the keyword techniques in it.

As for my first month, my PPC expenses already approximately USD700 for Adwords alone. I will put the total advertising expenses at USD1200. This included all spending on Yahoo, MSN, and other third tier PPC providers. And total earning? Only USD389! WTF, net lose USD811. That’s -67%! -_-;;

Honestly, I was a bit reckless in my advertising budget in the beginning. I remember I set a campaign, bid USD5 for a keyword, woke up next day, and see USD200 spent with zero conversion on one of the niches that I thought is profitable. All this happened in just 24 hours! And, it happened a couple of time. It hurts like hell everytime when you lost that amount of money in one day. But I would say that is the part & puzzle of PPC marketing. Although I has no net profit in the first month, think on the positive side, this are what I learnt in the first month:

  1. Budgeting
  2. Estimation of bid price
  3. Risk management, i.e. CPC vs EPC
  4. Keyword research
  5. Market demand & supply
  6. Tracking
